In the summer of 2022, the club commercialized a portion of the television broadcast rights for the first team’s matches. For example, they sold 10% of the rights to Sixth Street for 207.5 million euros over 25 years. Later, they sold another 15% to the same company for 315 million euros.

LaLiga accepted these transactions, but UEFA did not approve of the sales, stating that the club could not define these transactions as "operational income," but rather as "profits from asset losses."
