'THERE IS NO TURNING BACK'

"I feel good, I know I made a lot of mistakes in the past but there is no going back now. I think about today, I feel great in Udine and Udinese. I know that in life there are steps you have to take to grow. 3-4 years ago, my behavior and speech made me look more superficial. I had no experience. Today I feel more mature."

"What do I want from football? To make me happy. For a long time I didn't enjoy football, now I'm happy, I have to continue like this. Is there anything I won't do again? Of course, everyone has regrets. On the one hand, I think that the reason I've reached this point is because it had to be this way. I know that I've made many mistakes in my career."

'I OVERESTIMATED MYSELF'

"Part of the mistakes I made are due to the excessive media attention I was subjected to from the beginning and the pressure I had to endure. At 18, in a city like Rome, it's not easy to be on everyone's lips. I advise no one to get carried away. I made the mistake of overestimating myself! I realize that now, and if I went back I wouldn't do it again."

"Maybe nobody outside realized how much it hurt me to have to leave Roma! Roma is and remains a club that I love. It was very difficult for me to leave the club management and the people. Maybe I didn't show it on the outside because I prefer to keep my feelings inside."

'MY GOAL IS THE NATIONAL TEAM'

"Did someone help me? My family. When everything is so complicated, you realize that you can count on one hand the people who love you."

"Playing for the national team has always been a goal for me. Even before that it was my childhood dream. It's great to represent Italy, when you wear that jersey you bring together the fans of Inter, Milan, Juventus, Roma and Lazio. Everyone is united by the same belief."
