Real Madrid star's father slams Juventus: 'Giuntoli categorical, Motta brutal...'

The sudden exit of young defender Dean Huijsen from Juventus has been thrust back into the spotlight, with his father, Donald Caspar Huijsen, strongly criticizing the club's decision-makers. Speaking to Tuttosport, Huijsen Sr. described the abrupt nature of the decision to force his son out of the first-team project as "a real shock" and "a dark day."

"Dean was doing wonderfully in Turin, he spoke Italian perfectly and was loved by everyone,” Huijsen Sr. revealed, before recounting the blunt manner in which the decision was communicated. He stated that the club's director, Cristiano Giuntoli, was "categorical" and coach Thiago Motta was "brutal" when they informed his son he could no longer train with the senior squad.

The center-back's departure last summer was a move many Juventus fans have since regretted. Following his move to Bournemouth, Huijsen had an excellent campaign with the Cherries, which ultimately earned him a high-profile transfer to La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer.

Despite the bitterness surrounding his exit, the Real Madrid starlet maintains some connection to his former city and club. His father revealed that Dean "still reads Tuttosport on his phone and liked going to the restaurants of Marchisio and Bonucci in Turin." Furthermore, the bond between Huijsen and Juventus forward Kenan Yıldız remains strong, with the two still "very good friends" after bonding in the Juventus youth team.

The 20-year-old Huijsen has thrived since moving to Spain, playing in all but one of Real Madrid’s matches so far this season and showing maturity beyond his years at the heart of the defense.
