One of these clubs is Real Madrid. Sunday Oliseh, former captain of the Nigerian national team who played for clubs such as Juventus, Dortmund and Ajax during his career, said he learned from high-level sources that Real Madrid's interest in Osimhen is concrete.

Speaking on the Global Football Insights podcast, Oliseh said, ‘When I heard this from a top-level figure, I was delighted for the young man.’

Oliseh stated that Vinicius Junior's decision to reject Real Madrid's new contract offer could be decisive in the Osimhen transfer, saying, ‘Real Madrid now has the luxury of telling Vinicius to “go”, because if he leaves, Mbappe can return to his natural position,’ pointing out that Osimhen could be positioned as a centre forward.

Despite Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis' high demands, intensive negotiations resulted in an agreement between the parties. Although the release clause had expired, a payment plan was agreed for the €75 million transfer. Under the terms of the agreement, this amount had to be paid within one year.

The Yellow-Red management has fulfilled the majority of this financial obligation. It has been learned that Galatasaray has paid a significant portion of the transfer fee, with only €17.5 million remaining. It has been stated that the remaining payment will be made according to the specified schedule, meaning that the club will have fulfilled all its obligations regarding Osimhen's transfer fee by March 2026.
