PSV Eindhoven once again Dutch champions
The Eredivisie season in the Netherlands concluded today with the final round of matches. PSV Eindhoven defeated Sparta Rotterdam 3-1 away from home, finishing the season with 79 points, just 1 point ahead of rivals Ajax, to clinch the title.
Ajax had entered the final stretch of the Eredivisie with a comfortable lead but dropped 10 points in their last 4 matches. In contrast, PSV Eindhoven remained flawless, collecting all 12 points from their final four games to overtake Ajax by the last matchday.

In the season finale, PSV faced Sparta Rotterdam away, while Ajax hosted Twente. PSV secured a 3-1 victory with goals from Perisic (27’), Luuk de Jong (58’), and Tillman (84’). Ajax, despite beating Twente 2-0 with goals from Henderson (28’) and Weghorst (90’), had to settle for second place.
