Osayi Samuel breaks his silence! 'I received an offer from Beşiktaş!' | Fenerbahçe confession

Nigerian right-back Osayi Samuel, one of the most talked about names of the transfer window and whose transfer to Beşiktaş was on the agenda after his contract with Fenerbahçe expired, made statements to the English press.

The remarkable words of the 27-year-old experienced footballer, who stated that the possibility of a transfer to Beşiktaş was not true, made a big impact in the sports public opinion.

'AN OFFER CAME FROM FIVE STONE'

"I have had many problems with the Turkish press, maybe they are targeting me. I had an offer from Beşiktaş, they spoke to my agent and I had no interest in going there. I played for Fenerbahce for four years and the club gave me a lot. So it was impossible for me to go there. Then they wrote that my father wanted a lot of money. This is a completely Turkish story. The truth is, when the offer came from Birmingham, I wanted to go."

'I WENT AS A CHILD, I CAME BACK AS A MAN'

"The Fenerbahçe period was an experience, for better or worse. It would have been much better if we had been champions, but it was a big learning process for me. I went to Turkey as a kid, I came back as a man, the derbies were very intense. If we play big games here I know how to handle the pressure."

WHAT HAPPENED?

After his contract with Fenerbahçe expired, it was decided not to renew Osayi's contract in line with Mourinho's report. It was then on the agenda that Beşiktaş stepped in for the star footballer.

While Osayi was expected to complete the transfer of Samuel and the player was expected to arrive in Istanbul, the transfer was suspended with a last minute development.

HARSH REACTION FROM ADALI

Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı has stated that they have halted the transfer talks with Nigerian footballer Bright Osayi-Samuel due to his father's frivolous requests.

In a statement to Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter regarding the transfer process with the 27-year-old right winger, President Adalı used the following statements:

"We have decided to stop the transfer due to the senseless demands of Osayi-Samuel's father, who changed at the last minute. We are waiting for news from the other side. If he complies with the conditions we discussed before, he will come, otherwise our alternatives are ready."
