Nelson Semedo becomes Fenerbahce's 8th Portuguese
Fenerbahçe's 31-year-old Nelson Semedo became the 8th Portuguese footballer in the club's history.

Fenerbahçe continues its efforts to strengthen its squad before the new season. To this end, the Yellow-Navy have signed Nelson Semedo, who plays as a right-back. Semedo made his professional debut for Benfica before moving to Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer of 2017. After 3 seasons with the Catalan team, the Portuguese winger signed for English team Wolverhampton at the beginning of the 2021-2022 season. Semedo's contract expired on July 30, 2025 after four seasons at the club. Fenerbahçe brought the player to Istanbul on the night of the same day. A 2-year contract was signed with the experienced player after medical checks.In his last season, Nelson Semedo made 37 appearances in all competitions and contributed 5 assists.
