Manchester City's successful manager Pep Guardiola has put an end to the speculations about his future. Stating that he is happy at the team, Guardiola emphasized that the club should be prepared for the period after him.
Guardiola said he will not have a role in who the new manager will be, "When the time comes, the club will choose the best name. In the end, results always decide the end of an era," he said.

Saying that he wants to stay at City despite the rumors of his departure, the experienced manager said:
"I'm a bit strange; I can wake up one morning and say 'I'm leaving, goodbye'. But I'm not leaving now, I'm happy here and I want to stay. Every year there are rumors about my future. We will see what happens at the end of the season."
Guardiola added that the Manchester City management should already plan and be prepared for the process after him.
