In the statement made by Galatasaray, it was stated that a net fee of €27.5 million plus VAT will be paid for the football player. For the player himself, the contract details have also been revealed. Çakır will receive an annual salary of 110 million Turkish lira this season, with his guaranteed payment increasing by 10 million lira each year for the next four seasons.

In a heartfelt farewell message to Trabzonspor fans, Çakır explained his decision to leave. "I want to play in the Champions League, embark on a new adventure with my family, and pursue new goals in my football career," he said. "For this reason, I decided to evaluate the offer from Galatasaray. I know it's not easy. But as I leave Trabzonspor, I want to say goodbye with my head held high, earning the highest transfer fee in Turkish football history."
