At the press conference held the day before the match, the Ukrainian team's coach, Arda Turan, gave emotional statements, drawing attention to the hardships caused by the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia for years. I have great respect for the Ukrainian people. When I went there, there were bombardments. People would comfortably say, 'Okay, a rocket was launched, it passed.' Drones are no longer a problem for them. If it were up to me, I could list 100 negative things, but I am now changing my perspective for those people.

Life is very difficult for children right now. Children are thinking, what is war? Children could be dreaming about Mars and other planets. Now is not the time for war.

If you spend one day in Kyiv, maybe then we can talk about football. I love the Ukrainian people and I love my players. I am here for them, and I see all the people of Ukraine as my family."
