Former Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder made statements about the football agenda and striking events about his career after ending his career.
"I'm enjoying my post-soccer career: I'm spending more time with my family, working on personal projects and playing matches with legends in various countries. I've been a mentor for the Dutch Football Association and if a serious and meaningful opportunity comes up in the future, I will seriously consider it."
CLUB WORLD CUP
Speaking about the Club World Cup, which was organized for the first time with its new format, the Dutch legend said, "It's an interesting change. More teams means more visibility for clubs outside Europe and that's important. Football is a global sport and it's right for fans to see more diversity. I watched some of the games in Miami and they were great. Inter's performance in the tournament? Inter will always be in my heart and of course I worry when they struggle. Inzaghi has built a solid structure and every transition takes time. But Inter has a big heart and they will come back."

CHIVU - INZAGHI
Speaking about his former teammate Cristian Chivu replacing Simone Inzaghi as Inter manager, Sneijder said: "There are always emotional moments when a manager leaves, especially after a positive period. I understand the disappointment of the fans, but football is also a business. He has seen a new challenge and deserves respect. I support my friend Chivu at Inter, Al Hilal have shown great quality and Saudi clubs are growing fast. They are not yet on the same level as the best clubs in Europe, but they are closing the gap. They have ambition."
BALLON D'OR COMMENT
Speaking about missing out on the Ballon d'Or in 2010, the Dutch number ten said: "Yes, to be honest, I'm disappointed. It was an incredible year for me: Champions League, league and cup double and the World Cup final. I felt I gave everything, but Messi won, he's a great player. The fact that people still remember that year means I left my mark and that's what matters. Does the Ballon d'Or always go to the best player? Not always. Sometimes popularity or the club you play for is important. Ribéry in 2013 and Lewandowski in 2020 also deserved it."

"MOURINHO IS THE BEST IN HISTORY"
Finally, Sneijder made evaluations about Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho and said, "The best manager in history? For me the answer to this question is Jose Mourinho. What we did with Inter in 2010 was a historic event. Mourinho made us believe that we could beat anyone. He is more than a manager, he is a leader. I will always respect him," he concluded.
