Türkiye started the game with a strong defense and scored consecutive points to take a 7-0 lead in the first two minutes. Greece scored from outside shots with Dorsey, but the National Team responded with baskets from Ercan Osmani, extending the lead to double digits at the 8-minute mark: 10-22. The National Team finished the first quarter ahead 26-16, with Ercan Osmani scoring 14 points.

Greece rallied a bit at the start of the second quarter but couldn't respond to Türkiye's pressure. Taking advantage of Greece's consecutive turnovers, the Turkish team scored baskets from under the basket and behind the 3-point line to reach a 21-point lead in the 18th minute: 24-45. The Turkish National Team went into the locker room with a 49-31 lead.

The National Team also started the second half effectively, extending the lead to 26 points by the 26th minute with organized attacks: 38-64. In the remaining minutes, Greece narrowed the gap to 21 points with baskets from Sloukas, and Türkiye entered the final quarter leading 72-51.

In the fourth and final quarter, the Turkish National Team played comfortably and widened the gap, winning the game 94-68 and advancing to the final of the European Championship for the second time.
