'We decided that a compromise was not possible'
Speaking about his decision to retire, Kjaer said, "I found out that AC Milan will not renew my contract in September 2023, so I started to think about what terms I wanted. I had several options, but I realized that I had to compromise. Together with my wife, we decided that it was not possible to compromise on these issues."
