NBA All-Star voting has begun! Bona and Sengun are candidates
Voting for the NBA All-Star game has started. National basketball players Alperen Şengün, who plays for Houston Rockets, and Adem Bona, who plays for Philadelphia 76ers, are among the candidates. Minister Osman Aşkın Bak asked for support for Bona and Şengün on his social media account.

According to the statement on the NBA's website, voting for the 75th NBA All-Star game, which will be hosted by the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, USA on February 16, 2026, will continue until January 14, 2026.

Basketball fans will be able to participate in the voting on NBA.com and the NBA mobile app, where national players Alperen Şengün and Adem Bona will also take part.
In the new format of this season's event, three teams - two teams of US players and one World Squad - will play four matches of 12 minutes each.

SELECTION RULES CHANGED
The top five players from each conference will be selected by fans (50 percent of the vote), current NBA players (25 percent) and the media panel (25 percent). The remaining seven players from each team will be selected by NBA head coaches.
There will be no position limitations this year.
If the vote fails to reach 16 US players and 8 international players, NBA President Adam Silver will step in to restore the balance.

MINISTER BAK ASKED FOR SUPPORT
"Come on Turkey, now it's time for your support," Minister Bak wrote on his social account, "I invite you to vote for our national prides Alperen Şengün and Adem Bona. Our votes and our hearts are with them." He shared the post.
