Stating that he was impressed by the spirit of the people working tirelessly to deliver aid to Gaza, Hamilton said: "My visit to a hospital and aid packaging facility in Jordan dedicated to helping people in Gaza was life-changing. Seeing what is happening on the ground, it is easy to despair and think that there is nothing we can do to help. I thought a sense of hopelessness would be what I would remember from my visit, but it wasn't. What resonated most was the spirit of resilience and humanity. The spirit of families struggling to survive. The spirit of the British Red Cross, Jordanian and Palestinian Red Crescent teams doing everything in their power to deliver aid. We can all benefit from their spirit of resilience and determination to help those in need."

Emphasizing that it is possible to put an end to the suffering, Hamilton said, "The amount of aid reaching Gaza right now is definitely not enough. Humanitarian organizations must be allowed to reach where help is needed. They desperately need us to use our voices and donations to help them do this. If you can, please donate to the British Red Cross or any of the incredible charities that continue to provide care, dignity and hope to people in Gaza, and please, please don't stop talking about this. We must continue to give this crisis our voice and our attention. We must continue to speak out for what is right."
