Scott McTominay, who left Manchester United for Napoli after impressing in Italy, has clarified the comments made about the success of players leaving United.

The Scottish star emphasized that it's not just about leaving the club, but about "confidence and continuity".

McTominay said the post-United successes were not a simple "break-up" story, adding: "It's easy to say 'they left Manchester United and now they are very good'. When players go elsewhere and play more games, naturally their confidence grows. But at United you have to earn those minutes, just like Bruno Fernandes."
