Massive spending spree by Premier League clubs during transfer window
Although the summer transfer window is not over yet, English Premier League teams have come out on top in terms of transfer spending. England entered the new season as the league that spent the most on transfers with 2.4 billion euros.

While Premier League teams have spent 2.4 billion euros so far in the summer transfer window, Liverpool topped the list with an aggressive transfer policy and 300 million euros out of their coffers, unlike previous years. For 125 million euros, the defending champions signed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, strengthened their full-backs with Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez and their offensive line with Hugo Ekitike.

225 MILLION EUROS FROM ARSENAL
Arsenal, who became one of the biggest candidates in the championship race again with Mikel Arteta, spent a total of 225 million euros for Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
230 MILLION EUROS FROM UNITED
Manchester United, who had one of the worst seasons in their history last season and finished just above the relegation zone, have been among the most active teams in the transfer market this year, spending 230 million euros. A new offensive line is planned with Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
FINANCIAL FAIR-PLAY
Chelsea, which is under close scrutiny by UEFA due to financial fair-play criteria, earned 232 million euros from 10 players, including Noni Madueke and Joao Felix, while spending 280 million euros on new signings, including Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap and Estevao. Manchester City spent 180 million euros on Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, James Trafford and Sverre Nypan.

BARCELONA'S LOW SPENDING
In Spain and France, LaLiga teams have spent 520 million euros and Ligue 1 teams 480 million euros so far. LaLiga's defending champions Barcelona, who signed Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United, made their only transfer for which they paid a fee by signing goalkeeper Joan Garcia for 25 million euros. Real Madrid allocated a total budget of 168 million euros for all their transfers, including 62.5 million euros for stopper Dean Huijsen, 50 million for left-back Alvaro Carreras and 45 million for winger Franco Mastantuono. Paris Saint-Germain spent 103 million euros on stopper Ilya Zabarnyi and goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier.
