Lucien Favre announces his retirement
68-year-old Swiss coach Lucien Favre has announced the end of his coaching career.
Lucien Favre, former coach of Hertha Berlin, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund, announced that he has officially ended his football career.

The 68-year-old Swiss coach has ended his coaching career. Favre, who last coached OGC Nice, which he left in January 2023, had decided to stay away from top-level coaching since then.
Speaking to Blick newspaper, Favre said, "It's good for me. I made my decision a while ago because I felt that everything had been done, that enough was enough," Favre told Blick newspaper.
After leaving Nice, the experienced coach said he received offers from both Europe and Saudi Arabia:
"I politely turned them down because it was definitively over. Most people understood my message. They can always ask, but the answer is clear: It's over."
Favre also confirmed that he has no intention of taking on a different role in the football world (sporting director, etc.) with the words: "I've done enough, that's enough."
