"Luka Doncic has agreed to a three-year, $165 million maximum contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers to build a long-term future with his new team before he becomes a free agent next summer. The deal keeps Doncic in Los Angeles until 2028," the team said in a statement.
Doncic, a five-time NBA All-Star, averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.6 steals in 28 games since joining the Lakers in a trade from the Dallas Mavericks on February 2, 2025.
