Fenerbahçe coach Jose Mourinho has reportedly received an invitation from Russian football officials. The head of their coaching department Sergey Ovchinnikov stated they contacted Mourinho and he is ready to go there despite the political situation.

Emphasizing that they communicate with many technical directors, Sergey Ovchinnikov said, "Technical directors travel all over the world. They would be happy to come to Russia, but you know the current political situation. When everything is settled, they will be happy to come. We are in frequent contact with many coaches, but the situation in the world needs to be different for face-to-face meetings."
Stating that they invited Jose Mourinho to Russia, Sergey Ovchinnikov said, "We spoke with Mourinho recently. He said he is ready to come to Russia."
