Hamilton: 'Not looking forward to 2026 season'
Lewis Hamilton said he is not looking forward to the 2026 Formula 1 season, as a difficult Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend comes on top of a tough year.

The seven-time world champion British driver started a race from last place on pure pace for the first time in his 19-year F1 career.
Although the Ferrari driver could not overtake Sauber driver Nico Hulkenberg on medium tyres in the final moments of the race, he climbed quickly and reached a points position. Hamilton, who finished the race in 10th place, moved up to eighth after the McLaren cars of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were disqualified due to a technical infringement.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Hamilton said, "A terrible result. There is nothing positive to take from today." He added, "I am looking forward to it being over, I am looking forward to it being over. I am not looking forward to the next one." When asked whether he meant he was not looking forward to the next race in Qatar, Hamilton replied, "Next season."
