German soccer in mourning! Sebastian Hertner dies after falling from cable car
In Savin Kuk, the famous ski resort of Montenegro, there was a tragic cable car accident in which former football player Sebastian Hertner, who also played for Stuttgart, Darmstadt and Turkgücü, lost his life.

Hertner and his wife were on a double chairlift when the accident occurred around noon on Sunday. Hertner lost his life when the chairlift seat broke from the rope and fell 70 meters to the ground. His wife was rescued seriously injured after hours of rescue efforts.

SKI CENTER CLOSED
Following the accident, the 30-year-old woman suffered a broken leg and psychological trauma. Three of the other passengers on the cable car were also trapped in the air for a long time and were evacuated from the area after a successful rescue operation. The ski resort was temporarily closed after the incident.

SERDAR DURSUN'S TEAMMATE
Montenegrin authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Hertner played for clubs such as 1860 Munich, Erzgebirge Aue and Darmstadt in his career and was also a member of the German youth national team. Most recently he was playing football in Hamburg's amateur league. Hertner was teammates with Serdar Dursun when he played for Darmstadt.

Sebastian Hertner wore the jersey with the red chest stripe for seven years and played 65 games for VfB II in the 3rd Division.Our condolences to his family and relatives.
