With coach Claudio Ranieri set to leave his post at the end of the season, Roma, who want to bring in an ambitious name as manager, contacted Italian coach Francesco Farioli, who is currently coaching Ajax.

According to La Repubblica, Farioli has informed the Italian club's representatives that he is not interested in Roma's offer.

STARTED HIS CAREER IN TURKEY

Farioli started his coaching career in Turkey with Fatih Karagümrük and then took charge of Alanyaspor. After working in Turkey, he coached Nice in France.

The 36-year-old coach, who most recently took charge of Dutch giants Ajax, is still in the title race this season, 7 points ahead of his closest pursuer PSV.
