Francesco Farioli becomes Porto’s new manager! Officially announced…
Portuguese Primeira Liga club Porto has officially announced the appointment of Italian manager Francesco Farioli, who previously worked in the Trendyol Süper Lig.

In a statement released by the club, it was confirmed: “Francesco Farioli has become FC Porto’s new head coach, signing a contract valid for the next two seasons, until June 2027.”

FARIOLI’S CAREER
Born 36 years ago in Barga, Tuscany, Farioli began his career as a goalkeeping coach for Italian lower-division sides Margine Coperta, Fortis Juventus, and Lucchese. He then moved to the Middle East to work with the Aspire Academy and Qatar’s youth teams. In late 2017, he returned to Italy to join Roberto De Zerbi’s coaching staff at Benevento and later Sassuolo.
SIGNING CEREMONY TOMORROW
In the summer of 2020, the Italian coach moved to Turkey, taking charge of Karagümrük and later Alanyaspor. In July 2023, he received an offer from Nice and moved to France, where his strong results led him to the Netherlands. After spending a season on the bench at Ajax, Farioli now takes the helm at FC Porto. He will officially sign his contract with Porto tomorrow.
