Fenerbahçe made the following statement after the Galatasaray-Samsunspor match: "The fact that the penalty position in the last minutes of today's Galatasaray-Samsunspor match, which was clearly seen by the whole public, was not evaluated by both the referee on the field and the VAR, is a serious question mark for Turkish football. From the day we took office until today, we have preferred not to get involved in referee discussions and to focus on the field and the game. However, this does not mean that we accept the ignoring of obvious mistakes.

The failure to ensure the standard of the referees and VAR, even in such decisive moments that directly affect the fate of the league, is not just a problem for one club, but for Turkish football as a whole. Our only expectation is a fair, transparent and equally applied management approach for everyone.
