Terim’s Take on Allegri’s Milan
What do you think of Allegri’s new Milan?
“Yes, I like it, and it doesn’t surprise me. Allegri is a great coach; it’s only natural that he’s bringing the Rossoneri back to the top after a year below expectations.”
Some believe he could even aim for the Scudetto.
“What’s surprising about that? Milan must always aim to win. It would be an anomaly if people didn’t believe in the Rossoneri’s Scudetto chances. That said, it’s still early, and I think the contenders are the usual ones: besides Milan, there’s Inter, reigning champions Napoli, Roma, and Juventus.”
But only Allegri has Modric. Did you expect him to still be so fit at 40?
“Luka is one of the greatest footballers of the modern era, a living legend. No, I’m not surprised he’s still making a difference. Compared to the past, players today can extend their careers by paying attention to every detail and living like true professionals. Modric is a prime example of this.”

‘I’m a fan of Leao’
Turning to Fiorentina, Stefano Pioli isn’t doing so well: no wins in the league, and the fans are grumbling…
“I know Florence and the Viola fans; they have immense passion for their city’s team and suffer when things go wrong. But I’m confident that Pioli and Fiorentina have the quality to overcome this tough moment. In fact, I’m sure they’ll turn things around soon.”
Will it be a tough match at San Siro, even with Milan missing Pulisic and Rabiot?
“Those are significant absences, but Allegri is fortunate to coach a great squad with players capable of filling the gaps.”
On the other hand, Leao is expected to return to Milan’s starting lineup.
“Great news. I’m a fan of Leao; he has extraordinary qualities, and whatever anyone says, he knows how to play for and with the team.”
‘Few Like Kenan’
We’re also seeing the rise of a talent like Kenan Yıldız in Serie A. As someone who coached the Turkish National Team, how far do you think Juventus’ young star can go?
“I see very few young players in Europe more talented than Kenan Yıldız. Yes, he’s one of the best of the new generation. Considering he’s only 20, we don’t know how far he can go. He certainly has a long road ahead to grow and become one of the world’s best.”

‘Arda, Kenan, and Hakan…’
Is he currently Türkiye’s best?
“Let’s clarify. We’re fortunate to also have stars like Arda Güler and Hakan Çalhanoğlu. With these three big names, we’re in a strong position: they all play for top European clubs and make a difference.”
Milan or Fiorentina?
This time, are you rooting for Milan or Fiorentina?
“I honestly don’t know how to answer that. I’m being truthful. I’ll definitely watch the match on TV with great interest. I think it could be an entertaining game, and hopefully, it’ll be a close contest until the very end. You mentioned goodbye, so let me say mine: I send a big hug to all Milan and Fiorentina fans. I still have great affection for Italy; it has been and always will be my second home.”
