‘I SPOKE WITH AL HILAL BUT MY DECISION HASN'T CHANGED’

Fernandes confirmed that he had been in contact with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal during the summer transfer window:

‘I spoke with Al-Hilal, everyone knows that. After that, there were other clubs from Saudi Arabia and Europe, but my answer remained the same. We never agreed on a concrete offer. There was only one concrete offer from Saudi Arabia.’

 ANNUAL 76 MILLION EURO

Al Hilal reportedly offered Bruno Fernandes an annual salary of 76 million euro during the summer transfer window. The Portuguese star closed the door on a departure, stating that Ruben Amorim wanted him to stay at the club:

‘The manager said I'm still part of the project. The club has said the same thing.’

‘I SPOKE WITH CRISTIANO BUT I WON'T SAY WHAT HE SAID’

Fernandes revealed that he also spoke with Cristiano Ronaldo during the transfer process:

‘I spoke with Cristiano about this situation; about Saudi Arabia and other things... But it wouldn't be right for me to say what he said.’

‘AL HILAL WAS NOT HAPPY’

Fernandes also expressed the club's reaction after rejecting Al-Hilal's offer:

‘I don't think Al-Hilal was very happy with my answer. Because the offer was incredibly high in terms of salary. It was a proposal that would have made a huge difference for me. But I'm happy, I'm still chasing my dreams.’

‘I WANT TO WIN BUT I CAN'T PREDICT THE FUTURE’

The 30-year-old star avoided making definitive statements about his future but clearly articulated his goals:

‘I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League with Manchester United. I don't know if I'll achieve that goal. When my wife and I were discussing Saudi Arabia, she asked me, “Have you done everything you wanted to do here?” She knows I haven't.’
