In the match played at King Saud Universita Stadium, Inter took the lead with Marcus Thuram's goal in the 2nd minute. Bologna equalized with Orsolini's penalty goal in the 35th minute. The match ended 1-1 in normal time and went straight to penalties. Martinez and de Vrij were successful in the penalty shootout, while Bastoni, Barella and Bonny missed their penalties. For Bologna, Ferguson, Rowe and Ciro Immobile converted the penalties. Moro and Miranda were not successful.
