'I DON'T WANT TO BE SORRY'

Cerny, who started for Czechia, was replaced by Jan Chramosta in the 87th minute. The 27-year-old did not hide his disappointment in an interview with Czech television after the match. Cerny said, "We made an effort, but we lacked in the most critical area, which is finishing. It's hard to analyze the situation right after the game. I don't want to say anything I will regret."

SURPRISED

There were tense moments during the interview when reporter Jan Lutonsky questioned Cerny's positioning at the time of the first goal. When Lutonsky asked, "You were there for the first goal, what went wrong?" Cerny replied, "What was the distance between me and him?" referring to Sorensen, who scored the goal. To the reporter's persistent question, "Should you have followed that player, how did you assess the situation?" Cerny responded with a puzzled, "Was I supposed to talk to the players?"
