According to the Spanish media, Alonso has been closely working with Arda and is expected to give more playing time to the national star this season. Real will face Al Hilal in their first match of the tournament on July 18.

The Spanish coach made a statement to the press at Palm Beach Airport in the USA about new additions to the team, including Arda Güler.
The young coach said, "We are slowly getting to know each other and establishing the necessary communication, but this process needs to be sped up because we have very little time for training."
