According to reports in the British press, the vehicle carrying the 36-year-old boxer was involved in a traffic accident on the Ogun-Lagos highway.
In a statement made by the Ogun State Police Department, it was reported that 2 people lost their lives in the accident in which Nigerian-born Joshua was slightly injured and hospitalized.
Joshua entered the ring with social media phenomenon Jake Paul in Miami, USA on December 20 and knocked out his opponent in the 6th round.
