Panathinaikos AKTOR defeated Anadolu Efes 95-81 on the road in the 5th week of the Basketball Europa League.

After the first minutes in which both teams tried to get the upper hand on each other, the 5th minute ended with a 12-12 tie. Anadolu Efes came back from the break with a three-pointer by Larkin, but Panathinaikos went on a 5-0 run to make the score 19-18 and finished the first quarter with a 22-21 lead.

Panathinaikos started the second stanza with a 5-0 run and quickly increased its lead to 7 points (30-23) with Cedi Osman's basket. Panathinaikos took advantage of Anadolu Efes' offensive mistakes with fast breaks and maintained its lead for a long time. Weiler-Babb and Larkin's baskets at critical moments didn't allow the difference to grow, and even though Beaubois' basket at the last minute cut the difference to one point, Panathinaikos went to the locker room with a score of 43-42.
Anadolu Efes, who took the lead in the third period with Larkin's basket, couldn't respond to two consecutive three-pointers by its opponent and the Greek team took a 49-45 lead. The Greek team increased its lead to 20 points right at the beginning of the last quarter. Anadolu Efes tried to close the gap with a 9-0 run, trying to gain an advantage with outside shots, but couldn't put forth the performance they wanted on defense. Panathinaikos did not lose control of the game after scoring and won the game 95-81.
