Reaction from Real Madrid 'Disgusting, corrupt, manipulated...'
The latest statement of Real Madrid, one of the well-established clubs of La Liga, broadcast on Real Madrid TV, the club's television channel, dropped like a bomb on the agenda. When the application for the postponement of the Osasuna match was rejected, all hell broke loose. Here are the details of the news.

The rejection of this request means that Xabi Alonso's team will start the new season with only 15 days of preparation. This decision caused a huge reaction within the club and in the official media.
'DISAPPOINTMENT'
The club reacted on Real Madrid TV. Organizing a program with speakers, the club expressed their disbelief and disappointment at what they see as an unfair decision that puts the team at a disadvantage even before the ball is kicked.
'UNFAIR, ILLOGICAL'
"It's unfair, it's illogical and I was going to say another elimination but I'd better save it. As the locomotive of this league, we have to fight not only against your rivals but against everything," he said, adding that although Real Madrid is the biggest global attraction in the league, he thinks they are being treated unfairly.

'DISGUSTING, DISTORTED, MANIPULATED'
Real Madrid TV director Jesus Alcaide was even more scathing, saying: "The 2025/26 season starts in a disgusting, distorted and manipulated way. A team will start the season at a physical and tactical disadvantage. If this happens before they even kick the ball, what can we expect from the referees? He was born with dirt in front of him."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Real Madrid's relationship with La Liga has been strained for years, not least because of their support for the European Super League project. In recent seasons, the club has used its own television channel to criticize refereeing decisions and directly target Tebas.
The current dispute has its roots in last season's dispute over the calendar of the Club World Cup. Madrid argues that the domestic calendar does not adequately protect the clubs that represent Spain internationally.
Despite these setbacks, Carlo Ancelotti's side will complete their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Austrian side Tirol on August 12 before hosting Osasuna in their league opener a week later.
