This year's All-Star game will feature three teams, two teams of U.S. players and one World Team, playing four 12-minute games. After the three teams face each other, the top two teams will compete for the championship in the fourth and final game.

Each of the 3 teams will have at least 8 players and 12 players from each of the two conferences will be selected.

The top 5 players from each conference will be selected by fans (50 percent of the vote), current NBA players (25 percent) and the media panel (25 percent), while the remaining 7 players will be selected by NBA head coaches.

This year, there will be no position limitations for All-Star selections.

If the number of 16 US players and 8 international players cannot be reached in the voting, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will step in to ensure balance.
