Piqué, now president of the Kings League, posted a short but powerful message on Twitch after Álvaro Arbeloa's first game as Real Madrid manager:
"Good start for the new Madrid..."
The short sentence, which went viral within minutes, once again demonstrated Piqué's characteristic sense of humor and sarcastic attitude towards his arch-rival.
The tension between Piqué and Arbeloa is not new. When the two played for Barcelona and Real Madrid, their relationship on and off the pitch was never cordial, but rather based on a rivalry full of mutual bickering.
Arbeloa's losing start to his coaching career was the perfect excuse for Piqué to unleash one of his famous jokes that rocked social media.
