Genoa part ways with Patrick Vieira

Serie A side Genoa have parted ways with coach Patrick Vieira.

"Patrick Vieira is no longer the first team coach," the club said in a statement with the headline, "The first team coaching position has been temporarily entrusted to Roberto Murgita and his assistant to Domenico Criscito."

The 49-year-old French coach, who took charge of the Italian team in November last year, started his coaching career at Manchester City's youth team in 2013.

Vieira has worked at New York City, Nice, Crystal Palace and Strasbourg.

Genoa are in last place in Serie A with 3 points after 3 draws and 6 defeats in 9 matches.
