Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain faced each other in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

The visiting team took a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute with a goal scored by Ousmane Dembele. The first half ended with this score.

In the second 45 minutes, both teams failed to capitalise on the positions they entered and the French team left the field with a 1-0 victory. On the other hand, one of Arsenal's goals was cancelled for offside after VAR control.

Slavko Vincic, who had previously officiated the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby at Rams Park, officiated the match. There were strong objections from both sides to the Slovenian referee and the VAR team.

In the first half of the match, Kvaratskhelia, who met the ball on the left wing, entered the penalty area. The Georgian player, who was on the ground while trying to get away from Timber, waited for a penalty.

Kvaratskhelia was furious when referee Vincic continued the game and appealed for a long time, but the result remained unchanged.

ALAN SHEARER'S REACTION
Alan Shearer, one of the legendary names of English football, was also critical of Vincic: "I think the referee made a very good game very difficult for himself with the way he spoke to the players and his attitude. He's really frustrating for the players, he really is. I was not impressed with his performance, I thought he wanted to be the star of the show instead of letting the game flow."

OKAN BURUK HARSHLY CRITICISED
Referee Slavko Vincic also drew the reaction of Technical Director Okan Buruk after the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe derby. The successful technical man said about Vincic after the derby, "Even the referee who officiated the Champions League Final had a trembling hand. His hand went to his mouth three times. He gave very bad fouls. Mert has a hand, he almost played volleyball. He didn't listen to the fourth referee, because he is Turkish. This is disrespectful. After the match I told him “he performed worse than the Turkish referees”."
