FIFA will offer tickets for the 2026 World Cup at $60

Acting on fan groups' criticism that these were “the most expensive World Cup tickets in history,” FIFA announced that tickets for each match would be offered at $60 to fans of the two participating teams.

With this decision, the $60 tickets will account for 1.6% of stadium capacity for each match. Other categories and prices remain unchanged.

FIFA stated that 20 million ticket requests were received in the first five days of sales and that applications for standard tickets will be finalized in February.

The matches in the tournament, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will be played in 16 stadiums.
