Fenerbahçe made offers for Malcom and Lodi!

After signing Maximin and Talisca from Saudi Arabia last season, and Jhon Duran this summer, Fenerbahçe has now set its sights on two more stars from the region.

Saudi clubs have shaken the transfer market in recent years by luring world-class players with astronomical offers. However, many of these players have not found what they were looking for and are now eager to return to Europe — a situation that presents a golden opportunity for clubs like Fenerbahçe.

MOVE INITIATED

Fenerbahçe has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of this trend. Maximin was signed on loan at the start of last season, and Talisca joined during the winter transfer window. The first major move this summer was securing Jhon Duran on loan from Al-Nassr. Now, the Yellow Canaries are ready to pounce on another opportunity arising from Saudi Arabia.

CLASH WITH FANS

Al-Hilal lost to Fluminense in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup. After the match, Malcom had a verbal confrontation with fans, which caused internal tension. The club is now in advanced talks to mutually terminate the Brazilian winger’s contract.

MANAGEMENT ON STANDBY

Malcom is not the only Brazilian being pushed out by Al-Hilal. The club has also decided to part ways with Renan Lodi. The 27-year-old left-back joined Al-Hilal from Marseille on January 17, 2024, for a transfer fee of 23 million euros. Fenerbahçe is currently waiting for Al-Hilal to finalize Malcom’s contract termination and to set a transfer fee for Lodi. Once these steps are completed, the Turkish club is expected to officially launch transfer talks for both players.
