In the first game of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League playoff final series, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Beşiktaş Fibabanka 94-76 at home.

With this result, the yellow-navy team took a 1-0 lead in the series. The team that reaches four wins will claim the championship, and the second game of the series will be played on Thursday, June 19, at Ülker Sports and Event Hall.

Beşiktaş Fibabanka started the game effectively using the paint. Fenerbahçe Beko, scoring from the free-throw line, led 13-12 at the 5th minute. The yellow-navy team, fueled by McCollum's points, built a 6-point lead by the 6th minute: 18-12. Maintaining their dominance, Fenerbahçe, particularly effective in the paint, finished the first quarter ahead 22-16.

In the second quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko took control of the game, with Birch’s consecutive points pushing the lead to double digits by the 16th minute: 34-23. Despite Beşiktaş briefly reducing the gap to 5 points, Fenerbahçe played strongly in the final stretch of the period, heading to the locker room with a 50-34 lead.

In the third quarter, both teams traded points, but Fenerbahçe Beko prevented their opponent from closing the gap, entering the final period with a 73-52 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko continued their comfortable performance, securing a 94-76 victory.

Tension Between Özkan Arseven and Fenerbahçe Fans

During the third quarter, tension arose between Beşiktaş Board Member Özkan Arseven and Fenerbahçe fans.

Following the disqualification of Beşiktaş Fibabanka Head Coach Dusan Alimpijevic, Arseven engaged in a dispute with the fans. The tension, which persisted for a while, was eventually resolved with the intervention of Fenerbahçe officials and security forces.
