In the rematch played at Norrköping's field, which lost the first match 3-0, the fans of the home team reacting to the relegation of their team started throwing flammable material on the artificial turf in the 85th minute.
After the match, which ended 0-0 after about 4 hours due to the teams going to the locker room and the stands being emptied, Örgryte succeeded in being promoted to the Allsvenskan for the first time since 2009. Norrköping were relegated to the lower league after 15 years.
