MURAT ÖZKAYA ARRESTED

4 suspects, including Eyüpspor Club President Murat Özkaya, who were referred to the judge with a request for arrest within the scope of the investigation known as "referees' membership to betting sites" by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were arrested.

The procedures of 10 of the 19 suspects who were arrested in a simultaneous operation in Istanbul-based Ankara, Şanlıurfa, Kütahya, Manisa, İzmir, İzmir, Trabzon, Diyarbakır, Bolu, Edirne, Malatya, Antalya and Kırklareli following the technical and physical surveillance carried out by the teams of Istanbul Security Directorate's Anti-Cyber Crimes Department in coordination with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and who were referred to the judge with a request for arrest after their statements to the prosecutor's office have been completed.

Istanbul 11th Criminal Judgeship of Peace ordered the arrest of Eyüpspor Club President Murat Özkaya, Erkan Arslan, Nevzat Okat and Yakup Yapıcı.

 

The judgeship decided to impose judicial control measures in the form of a ban on leaving the country and signature against suspects Cihad Buyurgan, Miraç Yıldırım, Mustafa Özel, Sabri Emre Tekin, Şenol Bektaş and Yasin Şen.

The proceedings of the other 9 suspects at the 7th Criminal Judgeship of Peace are ongoing.
