In the last 16 round of the 2025 European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket 2025), Lithuania, paired with host Latvia, won 88-79 with a squad without star Jokubaitis and became the third quarterfinalist after Turkey and Germany.

Lithuania, led by Rimas Kurtinaitis, started the game with a 28-18 first quarter score and led from start to finish, winning 88-79 to advance to the quarterfinals.
Arnas Velicka had 21 points and 12 assists while NBA big Valanciunas had 9 points and Azuolas Tubelis had a double-double with 19 points and 12 assists.
Lithuania will face the winner of the Greece-Israel matchup in the quarterfinals.
