Dembele named best footballer of 2025

The winners of the ‘The Best’ awards, organized by FIFA and voted on by football fans from around the world, have been announced. The gala night, where the best of 2025 were determined, was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The winners of the awards for best male and female footballer, goalkeeper, coach, and team of the year, as well as best goal, fan, and fair play, were also announced. The FIFA Men's Player of the Year award went to Paris Saint-Germain's French footballer Ousmane Dembele.

Puskas Award goes to Montiel
The Puskas Award, given to the player who scored the best goal of the year, went to Santiago Montiel, who plays for Independiente.
