Cagliari's Semih Kilicsoy started the match in the starting 11 and was replaced by Leonardo Pavoletti in the 83rd minute. After the match, Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini spoke about Semih Kilicsoy in a statement to DAZN.
"We have been following him for a few years and his first game was promising. We haven't reached an agreement with Besiktas yet. After a season that he didn't have well, this opportunity came up. We wanted to add him to our squad and thanks to his agent the deal was finalized." he said.
Regarding the purchase option, Giulini said, "The purchase option is quite high by Cagliari standards. Besiktas wanted to keep Semih's contract and Montella is following him for the national team. He can be an important player for us."
