Al Ahli have reached the final of the Asian Champions League! Al Hilal are eliminated
Saudi Arabian representatives Al Hilal and Al Ahli faced each other in the AFC Champions League Elite Semi Final. Al Ahli emerged victorious in the critical clash. The team, under the management of coach Mathiass Jaissle, managed to advance to the final by defeating their opponent with a score of 1-3 in the round played over a single match. Al Ahli was the team to advance to the final after Al Hilal was reduced to 10 men.
Al Hilal, the team of coach Jorge Jesus, had a comfortable quarterfinal. After raining goals on South Korean team Gwangju, Al Hilal won 7-0 and advanced to the round. Al Ahli also advanced to the semifinals with a 3-0 win over Buriram United. In the AFC Champions League semifinal clash between the two Saudi Arabian teams, Al Ahli emerged victorious. Al Ahli took the lead in the 9th minute of the match with Roberto Firmino's goal.
