Achraf Hakimi wins African Footballer of the Year award

Paris Saint-Germain's Moroccan player Achraf Hakimi has been named African Footballer of the Year.
According to a statement by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Hakimi won the 2025 Footballer of the Year award, beating out Nigerian Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray and Egyptian Mohamed Salah of Liverpool in the voting.
