SILENCE DURING MATCHES
Beard was in charge of Liverpool twice during his 17-year career in women's football management, winning back-to-back league titles in 2013 and 2014. Beard last coached Burnley, resigning after two months in charge. Following the news of her death, tributes were held for Beard before women's league matches.

For Matt Beard, a member of the Liverpool community, Liverpool's women's team honored him by singing Mighty Reds in the 13th and 14th minutes against Sunderland last week. One banner read: 'Liverpool was made for Matt and Matt was made for Liverpool.
