Trabzonspor Opens Transfer Talks with Mohamed Salah
Trabzonspor announced that it has officially begun transfer negotiations with Mohamed Salah, who is currently a free agent.
Istanbul on Wednesday for medical examinations before traveling to Trabzon to complete the move. Doğan added that the contract is expected to be signed later this week, likely on Thursday.

Salah left Liverpool this summer after nine seasons, scoring 257 goals in 442 appearances while winning two Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League trophy. During the 2024-25 season, Salah scored 29 Premier League goals and provided 18 assists, earning the Premier League Player of the Season, Golden Boot and Playmaker Award.
Last season, the 34-year-old recorded seven goals and seven assists in 27 league matches and saw limited playing time in the Champions League. Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season and will compete in the UEFA Europa League playoff round. According to the report, Salah had also been close to joining Beşiktaş, but negotiations reportedly broke down over financial terms and image rights.
