Transfer from Fenerbahçe to Beşiktaş! Metecan Birsen has been officially announced
Beşiktaş Basketball announced that it has signed Metecan Birsen, who most recently played for Fenerbahçe Beko.

The statement from Beşiktaş reads as follows:
Birsen, who began his professional career in 2011, has played for clubs such as Fenerbahçe, Anadolu Efes, and Karşıyaka throughout his career and completed the 2025–2026 season with Fenerbahçe.
We welcome Metecan Birsen, a 2.05-meter-tall power forward, to the Beşiktaş family and wish him great success in our prestigious jersey.
SCOTTIE WILBEKIN ANNOUNCED
Meanwhile, Beşiktaş announced that it has signed Scottie Wilbekin, who parted ways with Fenerbahçe. The statement read:“As part of our transfer efforts for the new season, our team has signed a contract with American point guard Scottie Wilbekin, who also holds a Turkish passport.
After completing his college career with the Florida Gators in the NCAA, Wilbekin began his professional career in 2014 and has played for clubs such as AEK, Darüşşafaka, and Fenerbahçe. The 1.86-meter-tall player, who finished the 2025-26 season with Fenerbahçe, became a Turkish citizen in 2018 and was a member of the national team roster at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
